Splash park phone pic dump

Monday we had a MOPS play date out at the Alachua splash park. It was the first time I'd taken the kids without Lance. All went well though and the kids had a great time! These are just the pictures I took with my phone (I'm posting this from my phone ...). They're a bit blurry as I got some sunblock on the lens. I'll try and get the rest from the camera uploaded soon!

Oh the cuteness!

These are from yesterday.  Aaron got a hold of Maddy's helmet and tried to put it on. I gave him a little help. ;-)

I think I need to start a weekly phone pic dump!

March

Ok…back to catching up!

023

We went to the mall on one of Lance’s days off.  This was the first time that Tommy had ever used the escalator.  He was a bit unsure about it, but excited to be with Maddy and Daddy.

026

We let them do one of the little mall rides as a special treat.  I think Tommy especially enjoyed it. ;o)

039

We don’t always adhere to the typical nap schedule when Lance is home.  We got home about 30 minutes after Tommy usually goes down.  Lance just laid him on the couch and he slept like this for almost an hour more with the rest of us carrying on as usual all around.  He was one tired little boy!

043

Maddy completed a big girl puzzle with very little help from mommy!

045

Maddy and Tommy had a fun time at their friend Ryan’s 4th birthday.  It was centered around water play, so they had extra fun!

In the splash pool together

Maddy and the birthday boy

053

Maddy tossing a water balloon at the target

055

Tommy’s turn!

067

They even got to bat at a piƱata!

076

Maddy and Ryan have become good friends!

078

Tommy ate inside with me as I fed Aaron

079

He loves Ritz crackers!

089

We participated in an egg hunt with one of our playgroups.

090

Having a snack

091

Decorating bags in which to collect eggs (we also brought baskets).

093

There was a pretty decent turn out!

096

Running around!

097

Looking for more

107

What do you mean look at the camera??? I’ve got candy to eat!  Aaron was happily snoozing away!

Just hanging out

Yesterday we were outside playing with neighbors and Aaron wanted out of the stroller (as usual). I sat him on the curb and he actually sat there for a few minutes. He is getting to be such a big boy!

Sprinkler Fun!

The weather has been getting warmer and warmer, so last month I broke out the sprinkler for the first time this spring after a long walk one hot and sunny afternoon.  Of course, as soon as I got the sprinkler out, the sun went and hid behind some clouds, but the kids had fun just the same.  This was Aaron’s first go with the water.  He loved it!

More From February

It seems I’m going in spurts these days! I have so much from recently that I want to post, but just can’t do it unless I get caught up first.  It’s that small Type A part of me…lol.

We had a MOPS play date at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo.  The kids had a great time.  We’d been here once before shortly after we moved here, but Tommy just stayed in the stroller the whole time.  This time he was one of the gang and ran around with all the others!

100

It was one of the few cold days we’ve had this winter.

101

Trying hard to see over the fence

102

I can’t remember what caught their attention, but it made for a cute picture

105

No, I was not in the exhibit. ;o)

106

There is a peacock that roams the premises and it wandered into the playground area.  The kids were mesmerized.

108

Evidently peacocks are pretty good jumpers. This was news to me as it cleared the fence!

111

Grandpa Tegen came with special treats on Valentine’s Day!

118

He loves playing in these tunnels.  I think the TV caught his attention here.

128

Sweet moments with Tommy

139

I let the big two play outside on their own these days.  I just poke my head out every few minutes to check on them as I fix dinner or feed Aaron.  Well, this day I kept hearing banging on the side of the house…  Evidently, some water had accumulated in an old headboard meant for the trash later in the week and they decided to make themselves some mud using the bag of soil there next to it.  (Yeah, great going mom and dad!)

140

They discovered that they could leave their handprints everywhere for all to see!

141

It was a masterpiece!

143

I think its safe to say they had a good time.
