Maddy made special signs for the boys’ bedroom door last week to show who was allowed in.  Initially, there were only signs for her and Tommy.  Mommy made her add one for Aaron…

I had the special privilege to drive up to Tallahassee two weeks ago to attend my dear friend Mollie’s baby shower.  She is due very soon with baby girl #2.  We were pregnant together with Aaron and her first. I don’t think we’ll be pregnant together again…sorry Mollie! :)

Maddy had her first homework packet sent home last week. She could not get started on it soon enough.  It doesn’t actually have to be returned, but she took it so seriously.  “My teacher said we could just do one page a day, but I want to do it all right now.” OKAY!

They found an albino looking tree frog

It bounced off the fence and ricocheted off Maddy’s head leaving some slimy junk behind…lol. It was gross.  We wiped it off pretty darn quick.

THEN, they found a butterfly on the porch.  I don’t think it was doing so well when they found it.  It couldn’t fly away.  It definitely wasn’t doing well after they handled it.

28 Weeks

I had my 28 week appointment this week, passed my glucose test (yay!), and got my flu shot.  All sorts of pokes and prods lately (have I mentioned I hate needles?).  All is well, though, and we are officially into the third trimester.  I am feeling all the fun of the last portion of pregnancy—and have been for a few weeks already.  The baby is moving like crazy…all. of. the. time.  Especially when I want to go to bed.  The kids are getting increasingly excited for baby to arrive and to see whether they’re getting a new brother or sister.  Lance and I still have no clue in the name department, so we should probably start getting that figured out sooner than later.  One way or another, the baby will have a name! 

26 Weeks

Well, it was my intent to get monthly pictures, but I missed snapping a picture at 24 weeks (the start of month 6 for those who are preggo timeline impaired).  So here we are at 26 weeks (6.5 months).  Nearing the end of the 2nd trimester.  Insanity!  I’m feeling okay; fatigue being my typical complaint.  Can’t imagine why!?!? ;o) My appetite is growing and the belly has taken off…gotta watch that nighttime snacking! Tommy likes to give me a daily report on how “BIIIIGGGG” (said in low frequency silly voice) my belly is as he stands face-to-belly with his hands on either side.  I love it.
